Y:WAIT is an organisation dedicated to empowering young girls by focusing on the real-world application of knowledge through mentorship and networking opportunities. Rather than following the traditional approach of offering technical workshops and coding classes, we prioritize personal guidance, recognizing that one-on-one mentorship and building a supportive network can lead to deeper, more meaningful growth. We believe that connecting young girls with experienced mentors provides them with the tools to navigate challenges, think critically, and apply their skills effectively in diverse settings. Our approach fosters confidence and helps translate their potential into real, tangible impacts in their personal and professional lives.
Young girls who have an interest in STEM, AI and Technology, or would like to explore these related stem fields and get the opportunity to develop their skills further. We also cater to special interest groups like ICT Clubs, Robotics Clubs, Science Clubs, STEM-oriented Clubs and Innovation Programmes.

To make our seminars and webinars about AI and technology interesting for young women, Y:WAIT chooses engaging and knowledgeable presenters, and to cover topics that are relevant and interesting to young women! We also incorporate interactive elements such as live polls, Q&A sessions, and group discussions to make them more interesting.

Y:WAIT plans company visits that are engaging and interactive, and selects companies that are relevant and interesting to young women. Incorporating elements such as tours of the company facilities, demonstrations of the company’s products or services, and opportunities to meet and talk with employees can help make the visit more fulfilling.
Our company visits can be beneficial to young women as they provide them with practical information and inspiration for their future careers. They not only help young women learn about the different career opportunities available in a particular industry, but also allow them to network and make connections with employees at the company.

We organise courses and workshops specially for young girls to attend AI courses and workshops in a simplified way – because the field of AI is growing rapidly, and there is a need for a diverse range of perspectives and experiences in the field.
Our programme enriches young girls to learn the basics of how AI works, the different applications of AI in the real world, and the ethical and societal implications of AI. Amongst many other benefits, these AI courses and workshops can benefit young girls by introduce them to role models and mentors in the field, and give them the opportunity to network with other girls who are interested in AI.
To connect girls with mentors who are passionate about AI, we conduct mentorship programmes that provide personalized guidance and support from experienced professionals in the field, which can help the girls develop their skills and knowledge of AI. The programme typically involves interaction where the mentor provides guidance, support, and advice to the mentee on topics including the mentee’s goals, challenges, and experiences, as well as advice and strategies for success in the mentee’s chosen field.
The mentors from around the globe have diverse backgrounds in terms of their education, experience, and expertise, varying from banking to venture capital to finance.They serve as role models and empower the girls to pursue their own interests in the field, while also helping them build a network of connections in the industry, which is valuable for their future careers.
Y:WAIT organises networking sessions for young girls to provide the opportunity to connect with other young women who are interested in AI and learn from their experiences and perspectives. These sessions provide the girls with exposure to role models and mentors in the field, and can inspire them to pursue their own interests in AI.
The girls will be able to build a network of contacts and connections in the AI industry as well as form new ideas and perspectives to learn about the latest developments in AI. By attending these networking sessions, we hope that young girls are also able to be exposed to new opportunities for collaboration within the AI community.
