The Cambodia Economic Development Fund (CEDF) is a fund specially setup to accelerate AI adoption and training to selected sectors: Healthcare, Education and Small Businesses. AI is relevant in these sectors as AI can be deployed to improve productivity, save cost, generate more valuable insights to optimise operations and outcomes.
Through the adoption of AI, these will lead to new jobs created and increase employment. The focus on digital transformation aims to showcase how technology, including artificial intelligence (AI), can be used to achieve social impact for the most impacted groups.
We are honoured to announce that this initiative is supported and endorsed by the Prime Minister of the Kingdom of Cambodia, Samdech Techo Hun Sen and the Cambodian Government.
During the launch of CEDF, Tan Sri Michael Yeoh and Prof M Nazri presented the CEDF letter and documents to H.E. Sun Chanthol, Senior Minister & Minister of Public Works and Transport, Cambodia.
CEDF focuses on digital transformation, the development of artificial intelligence, and the provision of necessary skills and equipment to Cambodia’s workforce in the Fourth Industrial Revolution (4IR).
Launched during The 2022 ASEAN Leadership and Partnership Forum (ALPF) that was organised by KSI with ASEAN Business Advisory Council, Asia Vision Institute and Cambodia Chamber of Commerce (CCC).
