PROFESSIONAL OVERVIEW
Prof Dr M Nazri Muhd is a global AI expert, strategist and board advisor with more than two decades of experience in artificial intelligence, digital transformation, investment and institutional development. He connects public policy, technology and implementation, helping governments, corporations and communities convert strategic priorities into measurable economic and societal outcomes.
LEADERSHIP & APPOINTMENTS
He is Group Executive Chairman of the Centre for AI Innovation (CEAI) Global, overseeing MyFinB Group and an AI ventures portfolio; Chief AI Advisor to the KSI Strategic Institute for Asia Pacific; and Vice President of the World Business Chamber, where he chairs its Global AI Committee. He also serves as Senior Adviser, Shaw Strategic Advisory Council, under a three-year independent, non-executive advisory appointment. The role encompasses strategic advice, specialist assessments, research, introductions, mentoring, project delivery and other mutually agreed services relating to AI ventures and technology-related investments.

His expertise covers AI strategy, analytics and governance; public-policy and institutional transformation; digital-economy development; education and human capital; ESG and sustainability; and investment, commercialisation and venture building. His record includes more than 5,000 transformation initiatives across over 20 countries, together with 30-plus technology businesses and joint ventures spanning 30-plus industry groups. He prioritises responsible, scalable AI adoption, workforce development and measurable public value.
INTERNATIONAL ADVISORY
As an international advisor, Prof Nazri works with governments, ministries, regulators, policy institutions, development organisations and corporate leaders, particularly across Asia Pacific and Africa. His advisory focus encompasses national AI readiness, strategic planning, responsible technology adoption, institutional reform and practical implementation, connecting policy objectives with operational delivery.
GLOBAL FINANCE BACKGROUND
Earlier in his career, he managed more than US$5 billion in Asia-Pacific investment portfolios at two international asset-management groups and served as Associate Director at a global ratings agency, specialising in financial institutions. His financial background informs his approach to investment discipline, risk assessment, AI governance, transformation economics and long-term value creation.
ACADEMIC QUALIFICATIONS & TEACHING
His qualifications include an MBA in Finance and Management from the University of Western Australia; and a Bachelor of Commerce from the University of Queensland. An Adjunct Practice Professor in Applied AI since 2020, he has been an invited speaker or lecturer at the Lee Kuan Yew School of Public Policy (LKYSPP), Sunway University, Universiti Malaysia Kelantan (UMK), Universiti Tun Hussein Onn Malaysia (UTHM), Universiti Tunku Abdul Rahman (UTAR), Universiti Putra Malaysia (UPM), Institut Dato’ Onn (IDO), University College MAIWP International (UCMI) and Quest International University (QIU).

His recognitions include the World AI Impact Leadership Award (2025), World Outstanding Entrepreneur Award (2025), Suryadatta National Award (2023), Global Excellence USA Award (2020) and Asia-Pacific Young Business Leader Award (2010).
